Didi Gregorious- For a shortstop who can just sort of hit, it feels like fantasy baseball analysts spend alot of time talking about Didi. He met the hype last night, with a triple, a homer and 3 RBI’s.
Adrian Gonzalez- This man is just on fire right now and last night was no different, going 4/4 with 2 doubles and 4 runs.
Mike Napoli- Think Mike Napoli might be in my Daily Fantasy Blindspot. I literally have never started him and gotten positive points. When I fade him, he puts up lines like last nights 2/4 with a double and a homer.
Jeremy Hellickson- Hellickson has been super disappointing this year, with his ERA balloning from 3.10 to 5.37. Yet, his FIP is the exact same, only changing from 4.60 to 4.64. Luckily, his K% has actually risen from 16% to 19%. His fastball velocity is the most concerning factor, as it’s fallen from 91 MPH to 89 MPH. Tonight, he faces the terrible Miami Marlins and as I have gone over here extensively, they just don’t have enough hitting to make a case to not start any given pitcher against them.
Tyler Lyons- I don’t know much about Tyler Lyons, other than that he throws a 90 MPH, and an 82 MPH change, and that he is my Kansas City Royals, who are playing some of the worst baseball I have ever watched in my entire life. In the last 7 days, the Royals have hit one home run (by Miguel Tejada) and only scored 19 runs. The hottest that they could get against Lyons would be maybe 3 runs. Easy, safe start.
Nate Frieman- How his prices are this suppressed against left handed pitching, I will never know. Frieman is absolutely banging on lefties, to the tune of a .417/ .585/ 1.002 triple slash. Tonight against a leftie Giants rookie pitcher by the name of Mike Kickham with a 4.33 AAA. Easy start for the price.
Chase Headley- Start up your Padres stack tonight, boys. Brandon Maurer currently holds the the throne for most attractive stack option because Jon Sanchez isn’t in the league at the moment. Headley will hit in the 3 hole and is the most talented hitter on the Padres.
Carlos Gonzalez- The fact that the Rockies are on the road makes me like Car Go a little less, but that should be factored into his price. Lyles is a mediocre left handed pitchers and the Rockies should be able to get in a slug fest tonight.
Jean Segura- At this point, I don’t think the other shoe is going to drop. Segura is a really talented right handed hitter who is bashing the tune of a .333/.361/.594 triple slash. Against Scott Diamond, he’s a great start.
Andrew McCutchen- Call me crazy, but I don’t believe that Rick Porcello is a very good major league pitcher. When he has the fastball, it’s one thing, but when his location is spotty, he is prone to death by paper cuts 7 run innings. ‘Cutch will once again hit in the 3 hole and get some RBI opp’s.
