Fantasy Insiders Breaks Into the Daily Fantasy Sports Scene

There was more news in the daily fantasy space yesterday with the announced launch of Fantasy Insiders. After months of preparation, the former daily fantasy sports side of Fantasy Sports.org will be moving to a newly designed, revolutionary daily fantasy sports site called Fantasy InsidersFI will be a separate entity and FSO will continue to spread the good news of the industry.

Fantasy Insiders Announces Launch

Founded by three accomplished players in the daily fantasy industry and an accomplished web engineer (and fantasy sports nut), Fantasy Insiders seeks to provide new and old players alike with the most up-to-date information from knowledgable experts you know and trust. FantasySports.org founder David Kitchen (daily fantasy alias: “Socrdave”) and co-owner Ben “naturalslugger” Pritchett will be joined by Dan”Mr Tuttle05″ Gaspar and Steve Finkelstein to the founding team.

David “Socrdave” Kitchen

David “Socrdave” Kitchen is not only the owner of FSO and Fantasy Insiders, he’s also one of the original co-hosts of Grinders Live. Kitchen is a top ranked daily fantasy player who is on record for saying that he used his daily fantasy winnings to purchase FantasySports.org.

Kitchen has just recently punched his ticket to the 2013 DFBC championship presented by Fanduel. Combining humor with sound advice, David will be bringing his hosting talents to Fantasy Insiders’ own live daily fantasy sports show.

When asked about the launch of Fantasy Insiders and the daily fantasy sports industry David said, “I am incredibly excited about FantasyInsiders.com. We’re going to use our passion for DFS as well as our success as a platform to help attract people that have yet to try out daily fantasy sports. Our team is going to hustle and work hard every day to help the industry.”

Dan “MrTuttle05″ Gaspar

Dan “MrTuttle05″ Gaspar will be joining David in Las Vegas to compete for a $200,000 grand prize. Dan actually has two tickets to the DFBC and just recently quit his day job to become a full-time daily fantasy sports pro.

Gaspar is a high volume player and has also qualified for the PFBC presented by Starstreet. Those who are familiar with “Tuttle” know that he is somewhat of a savant in regards to his originality and unique perspective.

Ben “Naturalslugger” Pritchett

Ben “naturalslugger” Pritchett is a yearly fantasy baseball expert turned daily fantasy player and analyst. Pritchett finished top 3 in Draftstreet‘s inaugural 2012 DSFBC football championship in Las Vegas.

Ben is a former fantasy baseball writer for The Hardball Times and was touted as a Top Five fantasy baseball expert in 2012 by Fantasy Pros.

Steve Finklestein

Steve Finklestein is Fantasy Insiders’ web engineer. Steve recently was the lead developer on an app that received over $600,000 in funding and made the top lists of Mashable, TechCrunch, and other tech blogs.

“Steve is a tremendous asset to the team,” Kitchen said. “His skill set as a developer is rivaled only by his passion for fantasy sports, which makes him the perfect fit for this startup.”

Finklestein also has vast experience working with sports data companies, and will use that experience to help develop customizable tools for players seeking to gain an advantage over their opponent.

HD Webcast and Partnership with MyFantasyFix, Dinkmeyer

Fantasy Insiders is also really excited to be the first site to feature a high definition, live daily fantasy sports show. Fantasy Insiders has also reached a partnership agreement with the amazing and talented folks at MyFantasyFix to allow one of the most recognizable names in the daily fantasy world, Drew “Dinkpiece” Dinkmeyer, to join David as a guest on the show twice a week.

Dinkmeyer was just recently featured in the Wall Street Journal for the great work he’s done both as a player and analyst for MyFantasyFix.

As for Kitchen, he has three more appearances on GrindersLive and said that he will miss being on the show with Dan Back and Alvin Zeidenfeld.

“Being one of the original hosts of GrindersLive has been such an awesome experience. I want to thank Cal Spears and Dan Back for giving me that opportunity on RotoGrinders, as well as Dan and Al (Zeidenfeld) for the incredible fun that I had while hosting with them.”

Because there is overlap with RotoGrinders and what FantasyInsiders has, the two can technically be called competition, but he doesn’t view it as such. “The RotoGrinders community is awesome and clearly the only game in town. Our hope is to build our own community and hopefully the real winners will be the players and the industry. DFS is growing so rapidly that I think it will be able to easily support a second community.”

Kitchen also said that FantasyInsiders.com wouldn’t have player rankings, but would not go into what new features that they plan to roll out.

Fantasy Insiders will be soft launching some time in early August with tools available nearer to the start of the 2013 NFL season. Stay tuned for even more exciting news.
